Why am I offering
these memorial
pendants?

I have lost 2 pets, one who died naturally at the age of 18 and another who
I had to put to sleep at the age of 12. I had both pets cremated, obtained
their cremains and they sit in a box on my television console
I came upon Huffman Studios while surfing the web for another option
My first pendant honors my first beloved pet, Hershey, a toy poodle.I feel him
close every time I wear my pendant. .

How do orders
get placed?

Using the Contact Form on this website, I will send Huffman Studios
your basic information - your name, your address, telephone number
(should they have any questions), and pendant desired
Huffman Studios will then mail you one or more vials per
your desired pendant(s)

How are these
pendants and the Worry Stone created?

The artisan, Linda Huffman, fuses your pet's cremains (and/or hair)
with several layers of colored glass. The cremains and layers of
glass are covered with a clear class cap which protects the
dichroic glass coatings and gives each piece of jewelry the depth
and full rich color that you see on the catalog page. The visible
style has a clear piece of glass directly over the small amount of
ash in the center of the pendant and the non-visible style
has an opaque piece of dichroic glass covering the ash with
the same amount of cremains being used in both styles of
Memory Pendants.

After your memorial is custom designed to your specifications,
it is placed in a kiln at 1500 degrees F for several hours and
then is allowed to gradually cool down which can, often times,
take as long as 8 hours. The pendant then goes through a strict
quality control inspection and may require a second treatment
in the kiln. After the second heating process, your memorial
is cleaned, polished and undergoes a another inspection
to make certain that there are no flaws. Linda will not,
under any circumstances, compromise the quality of her art
and takes great care to insure that you receive only the best
memorial she can produce.

What type of silver is used for the silver settings? Argentium Silver is the most tarnish resistant silver available today The patented Argentium formula gives protection against tarnish and firescale and imparts increased ductility, strength, durability and unique hardening properties
Can I honor more
than one pet
via purchase of
these pendants?

Yes, definitely. You have the option, of course, of having one pendant
per pet - or you can ask that the cremains of up to 3 pets are combined
in one pendant. Your cost includes having you be sent one
vial. Each additional vial is $9.00 - up to 3. When you place an order, I will
notify Huffman Studios of the number of vials you would like. They will be
mailed to you - shipping and handling are included for both the mailing of the
vial and the delivery of the finished piece to you.

How long does it
take for me to
receive my memorial?
I will e-mail or telephone your order to Huffman Studios within 24
hours of payment. Huffman Studios will then mail you the vial(s) and
detailed order form. Once they receive your vial(s) and your order form
it takes generally 3-5 weeks for delivery - dependent upon how busy
they are.
What is the reputation
of Huffman Studios?

I researched and spoke at length with Huffman Studios before I
decided to be a distributor of their memorial products. Linda Huffman
creates these memorials on her own - they are not sent out to other
vendors. She is a nationally renowned artist and she will hand make
your memorial to the specifications you enter on the selection form
which is mailed to you.

The Sterling silver setting is hand cut and Linda does all of
the soldering herself insuring a quality piece of art work
with the highest standards possible.

Is there anything I
need to consider when
sending my pet's
cremains?

Only a very small amount (approx. 1/4 teaspoon) of cremains are
needed. Chuck Huffman (Linda's husband) told me that including
some pieces of bone provide the greatest color clarity. If you are
like me, I was reluctant to handle my pet's remains. I took them to
my veterinarian and asked that they put the desired amount and
make-up in the vial - my vet did not charge me anything to do that.
Is there anything
else that I need
to do?
Linda appreciates it if you send a photo of your pet and a short story about
your pet. In that way, while she is creating your memorial, she has a
personalized account of the love you shared and it gives her more of
a sense of the life being commemorated as she works on the pieces
What colors do I
have to choose from?
You have a choice of two or three of the following available colors:
Blues (light blue, dark blue or both), Red, Green, Gold, Orange,
Purple, Pink and Autumn colors (combination of dark blue, orange,
red and gold)
What does
visible and
non-visible refer to?
You have the choice of having your pet's cremains visible or not.
The visible style has a clear piece of glass directly over the small
amount of ash in the center of the pendant and the non-visible style
has an opaque piece of dichroic glass covering the ash.
Do the pendants
include the chain?
Yes. Your choice cord lengths are included in the price quoted. Your
choices are 16 inch, 18 inch, 20 inch, 22 inch and 24 inch.
